Do I need a camera or mic?
No. Text chat uses neither. Your browser won't ask for either in text mode.
Can I send photos or voice messages?
Yes. Photos and short voice messages work alongside typed messages.
What does the other person see about me?
Your nickname, avatar and country from your profile, plus whatever you type or send. Nothing else.
Can I switch from text to voice or video?
Yes. If you both want more than text, move the same chat to a voice or video call from inside the chat. Your camera and mic stay off until you choose that.
